It does put a ton of people at risk...but cracking down on people modifying a car is just silly. Many of us here with heavily modified cars drive safer than others with bone stock ones. How many of us know of people who have died while racing in some shitty stock car? I know that I personally knew of at least one person. They better get GM to stop pumping Corvettes and same goes for Dodge with the Viper.
